Anna Lee in 1900

Work has been hard at the Emmanuel, but am taking much interest, and am doing my best. “Confirmation Sunday” today at the Norwegian Meth. Church, Carroll Street. Miss Anna Lee confirmed. All of us invited to her house for dinner to share in the festivities. On leaving the car at Court St. and 2nd Pl., I was highly delighted to meet the young lady, as she came in her beautiful white confirmation gown with a bouquet of flowers, and was glad to have the honor of escorting her to the house. Many friends were present and we spent a most enjoyable day. Mamma was unfortunately not well today and could therefore not be with us at Lee’s, to her regret. Memory of this day will ever be fresh, I believe.
